Dayaa Devi as Kavacham (Shield) for Lord Srinivasa to correct us

Swami Desikan gives utmost credit to Dayaa Devi here. chEtanams
are doing sins again and again beyond even prAyachitham. At that
time, sins are like arrows attacking Lord Srinivasa. Instead of getting
into fierce battle with His Saarngam, the powerful bow, He uses
Dayaa Devi as His shield the fight the arrows of sins from
chEthanams. Lord Srinivasa uses Thirumala as his battle field to fight
this battle. Here a point to note is that Lord Srinivasa is verymuch
capable to battle Himself but he chooses to use Dayaa Devi as His
shield to fight the sins of chEthanams.
