Dayaa Devi’s Dayaa for Lord Srinivasa
In the previous Shloka, Swami Desikan described the Dayaa Devi’s
Dayaa on Brahma, Rudran, and Indran. In this Shloka, Swami Desikan
says that the GuNAs of Lord of Thirumala enhances only because of
Dayaa Devi. Earlier Swami Desikan described that if Dayaa Devi
does not have influence on Lord Srnivasa, the other GuNAs of Lord
become his shortcomings. Such is the power of Dayaa Devi.
When Dayaa Devi merges with other GuNAs of Lord Srinivasa, it is like
Nector (Amrith) merges with Milky Ocean (ThiruppArkadal).
Sweetness of the milky ocean will become sweeter. Sameway, other
GuNAs will shine very well when Dayaa Devi merges. Such union will
wake up the chEthanams from their state of coma to enhance them
to do the right things, like how nector will give life to dead. Swami
Desikan says that other GuNAs of Lord by themselves have no
potential to be beneficial to chEthanams.
Dayaa Devi plays another important role in Vedas and Upanishads
by getting into them and enable them to praise the GuNAs of Lord
and highlight them. This is like how fragrance will spread in the mouth
full of Camphor.
Dayaa Devi grants boon to those who controlled their senses.
So, in this Sholka Swami Desikan describes the qualities and services
of Dayaa Devi for the benefit of chEthanams.
