Worshipping Mount Thiruvenkatam
The mercy (Dayaa) of Lord Sri Venkateswara, flows as sugarcane
essence, and forms as Mountain Thiruvenkatam. Swamy Desikan
starts this Shloka with praise of the Hill. He portrays that the Hill is a
real form of Lord’s Dayaa and pays his respect.
Swami emphasizes the importance of SaranAgathi He equates the
mountain as Lord just like His predecessor Sri Kuresar compares
Thirumalirincholai to Lord Sundara Bhahu where He resides.
Swami Desikan compares Dayaa to a mountain only to emphasize
that PerumAL’s Dayaa is unshakable like a mountain.
