Dayaa Devi is the cool lake in the body of Lord of Thirumala

Swami Desikan describes Dayaa Devi here as a lake in the body of
ThiruvEnkatamudayAn. This is similar to his description in Mukunda
Maalaa as Hari Saras. In the center of the lake there is a lotus flower
which is analogous to lotus flower in the navel point of Lord Sriman
NArAyaNA. chEthanams who are suffering in the heat of samsArAs,
can take bath in this cool lake and get refereshed. Here one can
note AandALs pAsuram, “NeerAda Pothuveer PothuminO….”.
