Bhagavath SAsthram the guiding lamp

Swami Desikan implies in this Shloka that due to Dayaa Devi of Sriya
pathi, the SAsthram is guiding all chEthanams as a lamp. Dayaa Devi
maintains this continuous lamp (SAsthram and the vEdams) with
sathva guNam as wick and mercy as oil. As a result the darkness,
which is ajn~Anam of all the Jeevans get removed. Shloka 16 and 17
describes about the status of physical body and Shloka 18 is for
Anma.
