Lord’s hand is extended to us under Dayaa Devi’s Command
All the chEthanams are drowned in the ocean of samsAram. Dayaa
Devi commands Lord of ThiruvEnkatamudayan to extend his arm in
the form of Saasthram to bring the chEthanams out of the ocean
and take them to the shore of Moksha Anubhavam. His hand is
blemishless with some special qualities. It has Jyanam and VedAs as
its Saaram, has esteemed glories, merged with the OmkAram and
the hand has fingers as essence of all Manthrams of all Saakhas. If
chEthanams hold such a great hand and follow the Sasthrams,
chant the powerful vEda Manthrams, follow the rules as defined in
the veDas, do Prapathi, then they are safely taken to the shore from
the ocean of samsArams and given Moksha Prapthi.
Swami Desikan in this Shloka emphasizes the importance of
Saasthram and vEdAs.
